It was in 1983 when Freddy Lynnx was playing in a band called the Aristocrats when he first saw Johnny Thunders play in Paris. That is the same year Freddy quit his band and became a roadie for Thunders. Later Freddy would form the band the Jet Boys, taking the name from the Thunders song. Of course that wasn't the only name Lynxx had for his band. He also thought about Vendetta and Flying Pizza. But when the final decision came, he asked Thunders. "How could he not choose the one after his own song?" Lynxx states. "I picked Jet Boys the way the Rolling Stones picked their name from the Muddy Waters song, going to Johnny Thunders was like a little boy going to church and being given his church name," says Lynxx. The Jet Boys spawned a bunch of singles and albums, becoming a well recognized underground Rock 'n' Roll band throughout Europe. But Freddy was not destined to be in an ensemble, his aspirations were to be a solo artist, like his idol, mentor and friend Johnny Thunders. So in 1996 he released his first solo single, No Pleasure Thrills, which was the single release to his album of the same name. A follow-up album, Courageous Cat (9 lives and maybe more), a long list of singles and guest recordings and live appearances (with such people like Johnny Thunders, Jeff Dahl, Rick Blaze, Nikki Sudden, Kevin K) would culminate into his third album, and most prolific and kick-ass, in the year 2000, Bloodied Up. Lynxx has been silent these past several years due to a shoulder injury. At one point Lynxx couldn't even pick up his son, let alone a guitar. But several specialists and intense physical therapy as helped him to recover. He assures all his fans that he will return this year and begin performing again.
